Arem-arem Abon
Soft, savory rice rolls with a rich and flavorful abon filling wrapped in fragrant banana leaves.

Ingredients:

1.5 scoops of rice
80 ml coconut milk
100 ml water
Carrot
Bay leaf
Lemongrass
Broth powder
Salt
Banana leaves
Alamii chicken/beef floss

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice with coconut milk and water.
  2. Grate the carrot and add it to the rice.
  3. Add the bay leaf and lemongrass.
  4. Season with salt and broth powder.
  5. Stir until the rice becomes soft and slightly mushy.
  6. Place the rice and Alamii floss on top of a banana leaf.
  7. Roll and wrap tightly, then steam for 10 minutes.
  8. Arem-Arem Abon is ready to be served.
